Don't Wait Until it is Too Late!

SST Cards MUST be renewed BEFORE they expire.  If you let the card expire, you will need to take ALL of the courses again and start the process over for a new SST Card.  

This could lead to you not only needing to retake all of your SST Classes (8 Hour Fall Prevention, 2 Hour Drug & Alcohol Awareness, etc.) but also, the 30 Hour OSHA if it has been over 5 years since you were last issued this training card.  

3 things to do to save your time and $$

1. Be proactive:
Safe Connect US suggests that you start looking into booking your renewal courses at least 2 months in advance in order to make sure you find a course that fits your schedule.

2. Educate yourself:
Speak to one of our team members today to know exactly what training you will need in order to renew your SST card.  There are different courses for supervisors and workers.

3. Create your own deadline:
Consider yourself too late if you find yourself without the updated training a week or two before expiration.  We cannot express to you enough how important it is to update before expiration.  The department has given us no opportunity to correct these cards after they are expired so you also need to consider the time it takes for our team to print your new card.

Conclusion:

By prioritizing following these guidelines, you can save yourself an immense amount of time and money not only with your training but to make sure that you are allowed back to work!! 

Many renewals will come up at once and we will be very busy.  You can count on us to do whatever it takes to make sure you get your training and certification in a timely manner but do not wait as we know the influx of renewals will rapidly increase as well as our time frame to produce.
