8 Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
Description: This 8 Hour HAZWOPER refresher training program consists of a synopsis of the core elements of an occupational safety and health program including emergency response plan and procedures.
Course Materials: This course consists of several different components including a PowerPoint presentation, lecture, case studies, class discussions and hands on demonstrations. We will provide a student manual which will include all relevant written standards.
Prerequisites: Student must have previously taken a 40 Hour HAZWOPER course within the last 4 years. The expired or soon to be expired card must be presented prior to the start of the course. Student must also be able to comprehend the language in which the course is scheduled for.

- Identify elements of chemical labels and SDS sheets under OSHA’s Hazard Communication standard.
- Evaluate physical and safety hazards on hazardous waste sites.
- Describe general types of personal protective equipment including chemical protective clothing and respirators used when dealing with hazardous waste.
